The counseling can take place in conjunction with medication or without. Therapy centers around interrupting depressive thoughts and behavioral patterns, healing old wounds and often, for Highly Sensitive & Gifted/Creative clients, re-framing their challenges as gifts and augmenting social skills. Often in this population there is a long history of anxiety that has interrupted the meaningful social connections they yearn for, caused adrenal fatigue and created hopelessness.
