As a Christian therapist, I believe we are created as spiritual beings and that our personal relationship with God ultimately defines how we are to live our lives. It can be very comforting to meet with someone who shares your faith and who can provide guidance that takes into account your spiritual worldview and belief system. A shared faith can also help foster a trusting relationship between counsellor and client. In my practice, my goal is to help people to navigate the struggles and sensitive circumstances of life in ways that honour their spirituality, as well as assist them in making the changes needed for healing and personal growth.

My approach to counselling is attachment based and trauma informed. I have extensive training in emotionally focused therapy, the gold standard in couple's therapy, which I apply in my work with couples, families, and individuals. Emotionally focused therapy closely parallels the Christian faith in how it understands human personhood and connection. I am trained through a biblical lens and comfortable including faith in the work we will do. During our sessions I take an engaged and active role in the process, focused on helping you to identify the areas where you may be stuck and working with you to make changes aligned with your goals and faith.
