I Sandra Forbes am an educated therapist with over 25 years of experience. I had a tranformative experience in 1999 that brought me to a knowing of God. Out if this knowing came faith and from faith has come a faith centered approach to counselling. Your faith and experience of Christianity forms the foundation for healing in your personal, work and family life. I will offer a listening ear and in a with directness, honesty, support and care will work with you as you move toward a new way of being that will address the issues dear to your heart and help move you toward becoming the person you want to be.

My approach to counselling is attachment based and trauma informed. I have extensive training in emotionally focused therapy, the gold standard in couple's therapy, which I apply in my work with couples, families, and individuals. Emotionally focused therapy closely parallels the Christian faith in how it understands human personhood and connection. I am trained through a biblical lens and comfortable including faith in the work we will do. During our sessions I take an engaged and active role in the process, focused on helping you to identify the areas where you may be stuck and working with you to make changes aligned with your goals and faith.
