For instance, an individual’s current place in a career or even their career path may be unsatisfying and discouraging and very often this may lead to depression, anxiety and stress. Sometimes, there are difficulties finding a new path and at C. S. Counselling, guidance in any of these areas can provide direction to leading a more fulfilling life by investigating desirable alternatives.

Dr. Strauss offers career counseling through New Leaf Psychology Centre. In order to facilitate decision making, sessions will first assess your current skills, assets and interests. Your level of fulfillment at your current place of work, and obstacles to fulfillment will also be discussed. Potential career changes will be reviewed, with the goal of helping you come to a decision that you are comfortable with.

For ten years I worked locally as Regional Manager of Human Resources and have a certificate in Human Resources Management. I have significant experience in career counselling and development as well as an excellent knowledge about recruitment, selection processes, interviewing techniques and resume writing. Changing careers by returning to university education in my forties gives me unique insight into the possibilities. While I enjoyed my first career, it did not provide the level of personal satisfaction of my second! Career research – is designed to help narrow down options. I will provide you with useful resources and have you complete information interviews with individuals doing the work. 3. Decision making and planning – Finalizing a decision and building out a transition plan (if required).
