Grief is our whole body's response to loss. Our body responds emotionally, spiritually, and mentally to all our losses. Dealing with grief is a "required course" in our lives. If we do not deal directly and meaningfully with our grief, then our lives are going to be diminished significantly. It is not true that "time heals all wounds". However, it is true that time--WITH DETERMINED FOCUS--heals most wounds. Don't wait for time to just "pass by" and end up even further behind. I have been treating clients with grief-related issues since 1995. I understand the void of losing loved ones and work closely with my clients to help them realize their potential, once a loved one passes away. I also am experienced in treating grief issues which are unrelated to death, but have a very similar impact. Those abandoned by a loved one can be devastating. I see my role as assisting my clients in making sense of their sometimes unbearable circumstances and learning to create a positive future for themselves, in spite of their emotional pain. I provide a safe, compassionate environment to move through the grieving process, which is crucial for recovery.

We will explore the meaning of the lost relationship in your life and facilitate processing your emotions. We will identify how you can honor yourself and your loved one by strengthening bonds in remaining relationships and being a catalyst for life-giving change throughout the relationship systems you are part of.
