The first step in managing overcoming anxiety is identifying the symptoms of anxiety. Types of symptoms among other can include: worrying or obsessive thoughts or actions, rapid heart beat, feeling dizzy or lightheaded, panic attacks, anxiety associated with memories of past traumatic events, or fear of having a anxiety attack if you go to a certain place out in public. We will first give you some tools to effectively reduce the physiological symptoms of anxiety (relaxation training, biofeedback, or heart math). Then we will deal with the underlying thoughts and triggers associated with the anxiety through EMDR, EFT, and/or Cognitive therapy (CBT) and reduce/eliminate those triggers.

While most treatment approaches for anxiety and stress are effective on the surface, they don’t treat the real problem. Mantras, deep breathing, and rational dialogues about your fear being irrational rarely work---for most people don’t believe it or you! Imagine if you can trick the brain into changing without you telling your conscious mind that you are changing it? Problem with anxiety and stress is that the brain in this state knows you want to change it and it resists. Contact Kevin@kevinfleminphd.com for the ultimate stress and anxiety solution that will literally change your brain's autonomic nervous system patterns while you sit on your butt. 877-606-6161.

Are you nervous a lot of the time? Isn’t it uncomfortable? And it doesn’t help to just be told to ‘calm down’. I am a highly trained clinical psychologist with years of both academic and clinical experience. I truly empathize with your emotional state(s) and can assist in improving your overall quality of life. How might this look? First, when you and I meet, you get support and time to just chat. This in itself can begin to lessen one’s stress. Together we can locate exactly what is making you anxious, and why. And then you and I create ways of decreasing your nervousness, and increasing your comfort level! Life can start to feel better when one’s anxiety is properly attended to.
