I received both my masters and doctoral degrees, along with related training, at Rosemead School of Psychology, one of the leading schools in the country focused on the integration of Christian faith and understanding of human nature with clinical counseling. I have been a Psychologist for 20 plus years. About 10 years ago, I took training in Pastoral Formation. Yes, it is true we carry God with us, but we also need to carry a developed Self in order to have the curiosity and discipline to carry out what we believe to be God's wishes. With a stronger Self we also can differentiate our own wishes and needs. We can identify and delineate one feeling from the other. This is vital as our feelings serve as emissaries of our needs. Christian Counseling can take you into a peaceful setting, for you to be at your inner-self. My private environment, and private office will help heal any irrational thoughts you might have. At times a commercial setting can be irritating and uncomfortable to be at peace. Certainly we might find God to be the answer, but, we have to first find ourselves and inner feelings to strenghtened any irrational thoughts to rational thoughts.
