All are unique and important components that need to be considered when determining a job switch or addition. The difference between a career coach and a psychotherapist is that I will help you understand the underlying emotional needs you have and in what ways they are driving your career path in one direction or another. To make a change in career is to acknowledge that there might be conflicting needs for personal stability, adventure, and financial security. Two fundamental questions I will help you answer is "Why do I want to change careers?" and "Why now?"

My approach to clients undergoing career issues begins with an assessment to determine the type of problem, including lack of direction, negative performance reviews, workload anxiety, lack of advancement, or the need for a transition. Once we've established the priority, treatment includes setting goals together and developing a therapeutic relationship, including coaching, to support and maintain the client's progress.
