Counseling clients with anxiety and managing stress is my reason for choosing this field to work in. For a period of my life, I was overcome with anxiety and panic attacks. This is no longer the case and my belief and my understanding that this can happen for clients I have seen as a result of getting help. The feelings are painful and in my case, became unbearable. The fear creates the fear. The "what if"? that starts every sentence. Whether it is to assess your options, learn techniques for mindfulness or learning how to deal with triggers, it is my goal as a therapist to assist you with gaining your life back. No one is anxiety free but it should not ruin your life.

The world is a demanding place these days and we get pulled in so many different directions—add to that the stress of having, keeping, or finding a job, family and/or relationship pressures—and anxiety and stress can so easily gain the upper hand. My goal as a therapist is to help you talk though your issues and concerns so that I can give you the tools to help you overcome your sources of anxiety and stress.

I will assist you from suffering and torchering yourself from anxiety and stress. These programs can be group or individual. I will help you overcome a variety of emotional issues that are often difficult and complicated. I use REBT methods and Emotional techniques to help you move forward in your life. Trained in many workshops in the fields of anxiety and depression from The Albert Ellis Institute, I will offer the best method possible for you to be a better self.

Everyone experiences anxiety at some point, but for some the anxiety is so frequent or intense that it interferes with their lives or even triggers panic attacks. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help my clients get a sense of control over their own anxiety. We collaborate to learn skills to reduce the frequency or intensity of the anxious feelings, to tolerate the anxiety when it does occur so they can still function through it, and to practice habits that reduce stress and improve general mental health.

Helping clients get out of their head and into their body is a specialty of mine. Often times Clients are working very hard to avoid negative outcomes and I help them shift their approach to a preparedness for undesirable outcomes so that they don't have to expand so much energy trying to keep bad things from happening. The goal is increase one's capacity so that can develop the confidence that keeps them from leaning into anxious thoughts.
