Most people associate grief with the death of a loved one. Losing someone you love or care deeply about is very painful, but any loss can cause grief, including the loss of important relationships, your job, health, or sense of identity. After a significant loss, you may experience difficult and surprising emotions, such as shock, anger, and guilt. At times you may feel like the sadness will never end. Grief and loss shouldn’t remain center stage in your life. As you deal with your loss, remember that there are healthy ways to cope with the pain that can help you to move forward and strengthen you emotionally.

Everyone has losses in life yet many struggle longer than necessary to move forward. I help grieving clients to recover their enthusiasm for life by showing them how to move on in a way which honors their past loss and creates new insights for their future. During my 35 years of private practice I have had the privilege of assisting thousands to get on with life after a traumatic loss. These losses have been spiritual such as a loss of faith; mental such as a loss of self worth; vocational such as a loss of employment; financial such as a loss of wealth; social such as a loss of friends; familial such as a loss of spouse or child; and physical such as a loss of health or a limb.
