I focus on moving through the stages of the grieving process to assist with healing. My approach is supportive and interactional. It is often necessary for the client to have an avenue of emotional expression/ventilation for healing.

Grief and loss requires a caring counselling approach to help clients learn how to understand their emotions and feelings and to move forward. Clients need to learn effective ways of coping with grief and loss and to find strength from within. By doing this, they can reflect on the positive memories and look forward to new beginnings. Individuals need to know that through these life experiences, they grow and can become stronger.
