I am a trauma specialist who loves supporting college students, post-college grads navigating early adulthood, and adult children of emotionally immature parents. All people have problems. When the problems are not the consequence of their own doing, such as resulting from abuse, neglect, or tragedy, I work to help these individuals muster their personal resources to better cope and learn recover from the trauma. However, most of the problems that people tend to have are the result of the poor choices they make. This is the frequent consequence of not really knowing who they are. My work as a psychotherapist is to help my clients become more aware of themselves. Lots of times it means facing some irrational and negative beliefs that get played out over and over.
