When i work with adolescents I offer career counseling to aid in their areas of study. There are various inventories that i can administer which indicate occupations most suited for your child's personality and aptitudes. Some show which professions attract people most like your child. Some show areas of competence in your child that will be valued in certain professions.

While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies. Adolescents is a time to set goals for the future. As a middle and high school counselor, I have taught college and career lessons, led parent informational nights, facilitated family meetings, and provided one-on-one counseling. As your teen's therapist, I will help them to identify their strengths, skills, and interests. From there, we will explore careers and possible majors or paths to that career. Once that is known, we will research the programs or colleges that will get your teen where they want to be. The process can be stressful, but also exciting! I will be there every step of the way.
