While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies. Do You Know Where Your Going To? It's more than a song! It can be quite complicated in this day and age to "figure out" your destination. I have been able to assist others in identifying their strengths and how to utilize them. We work many hours of our lives, so it is important that we like what we do and are able to feel positive at the end of the day!

While not a speciality of the Center for Healthier Relationships, Individuals, & Sexualities, career counseling can be part of a larger framework of therapy. This can include exploring why one might want to change career paths, work up a corporate latter, or even why one might focus on contentment in their current role. This can be approached through a variety of modalities, which may either focus on the present issues or may review historical data to determine why one feels the need to make a career change.

Adolescents is a time to set goals for the future. As a middle and high school counselor, I have taught college and career lessons, led parent informational nights, facilitated family meetings, and provided one-on-one counseling. As your teen's therapist, I will help them to identify their strengths, skills, and interests. From there, we will explore careers and possible majors or paths to that career. Once that is known, we will research the programs or colleges that will get your teen where they want to be. The process can be stressful, but also exciting! I will be there every step of the way.
