When a person is depressed it is hard to believe that life can be any different. My work with clients who are suffering from depression begins from a place of compassion but also commitment to challenging the client to a different experience of life. Using methodologies from ACT therapy, I help the client acknowledge their thoughts and feelings that have often been long ignored. I help them let go of thoughts and feelings that are driving unhealthy behaviours and beliefs all while helping the client determine what is a life worth living. Moving in the direction of this life helps release the client from the grips of depression and open them up to life again.
