Although I see clients in my practice who practice a different faith, or no faith at all, I really enjoy working with my brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ. I hold a Bachelors degree in Theology, and love to counsel from a Christian perspective. The Directors and Officers of the International Board of Christian Counselors have conferred upon me the voluntary global credential of "Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor". They sorted through hours of paperwork I submitted before conferring this honor on me. The bottom line is not how many verses I've memorized. The bottom line is that I actively invite Him into my office to speak through me to each client. His Spirit heals.

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that. If one honors God's natural laws of reaping and sowing around the decisions one makes, one is indeed living Scripture to its fullest. Being a Christian Minister, I encourage individuals to get in touch with their faith and their beliefs to strengthen their lives. My approach is not to judge, but to accept and guide. What is spiritually healthy is usually psychologically healthy as well. My book, "The Cross and the Couch" shows how one can use the teachings and modeling of Jesus Christ to begin to heal one life. While I know the Bible well, my therapy is not a Bible study. I do not attempt to convert anyone, but accept their religious beliefs. Belief in God who is real and alive and desires to interact with his creation, has the possibility of unlocking our greatest potential.
