At the core of all anger is fear. It is my goal to help my client discover that fear and express it in a way that is not harmful to self or others. How I approach anger management is though humor and education. It is not an easy topic and not everyone understands the complex emotions that anger can provoke in self and others. I do my best to educate and explore the issues.

When our anger needs managing, it is usually because we are deeply angry about things we might not even be aware of. Everything may feel like it's about the current moment or the current relationship, but it's really about some unresolved anger from the past. Our minds imagine we can't handle what we are really angry about, so it takes in out on something or someone else. In therapy, we make it safe to get angry with what really counts. We help resolve that anger so it no longer needs an outlet. Let's not just "manage" your anger. Let's resolve it.
