A client will learn to honestly face the destructive results of mismanaged anger in his/her relationships and their own personal health (increases motivation to change). They will also learn to be aware of the triggers to their anger and make alternate choices at points of tension, as well as dealing with the real source of the anger, which is often woundedness and hurt and false beliefs. The underlying pain and demands must be identified and dealt with so as to diminish the vulnerability to mismanaging anger.
