We use a client centered approach, supplementing individual therapy with family treatment and group therapy as appropriate. We address substance abuse and other addictions, and have therapists who have completed certificates in sexual health. We are in the process of becoming certified for gambling addiction treatment through the State of Michigan. For opiate and other substance addictions, we work closely with a medical doctor who treats addictions. I recognize that the most important aspect to an effective therapeutic treatment is the quality of the relationship between the client and therapist. Through this collaborative approach, the client and I identify their strengths and build on these characteristics through therapy.
