My approach in working with stress and anxiety disorders is much the same as it is for depression, since anxiety and depression are on a continuum (I often describe them as a seesaw). Treatment modalities include, but are not limited to, stress reduction, meditation and teaching self-hypnosis, nutritional supplementation, cognitive-behavioral treatment, desensitization, and talk therapy in conjunction with medication.
