We approach psycholotherapy in a unique way. We offer clients a new perspective on old problems. We teach skills with therapy and encourage clients to develop skills for coping and healing. We allow clients a safe and comfortable space to practice these coping skills and support them in their learning. Part of what makes us unique in how we approach therapy is our therapists are informed in trauma and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. We infuse every session with validation and accountability. The goal of psychotherapy is to alleviate distress through talk therapy rather than medication. It helps the client become more self aware by identifying feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and attitudes. The client then has a better understanding of self, and the cause of the emotional turmoil. The therapy process continues as the client gains knowledge about how to cope in a more positive way by changing thought patterns, developing skills and focusing on resolution.
