Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) is a study done looking at the correlation of certain experiences in childhood to physical health, mental health, and overall wellbeing challenges throughout adulthood. I have extensive training working with children who have gone through these experiences. My goal is to help them not be defined by what they have gone through, but instead to live happy, healthy, and whole lives.

I work with young children if they are experiencing anxiety. Children under 6 are treated primarily by working with parents to provide them with the tools to address the anxiety at home. Limited play therapy can be done in session with parent present to teach then how to address their child's issues. At young ages, parents are a critical resource for addressing the anxiety as it occurs rather than expecting the child to integrate the strategies practiced in session. Bibliotherapy (books), games, art and role playing are all types of therapeutic tools taught to parents,
