I deal with anger issues only as they present themselves in conjunction with substance abuse. Hopefully, the substance user will come in to discuss the issues. If a family member is impacted by someone’s anger and suspect substance abuse I would want to meet with them to discuss possible routes to either help them cope or assist in helping the abuser to identify the abuse. Treatment is always an option if simply taking isn’t helping. I have been able to help my past clients actually see how substances are impacting themselves and their family with sobriety as the goal. Denial is a primary part of most substance abuse and can be dealt with if the individual will at least come to counseling

I helps individuals identify the triggers that lead to anger outbursts and explores the underlying causes of their anger. Our work together will help uncover patterns of thinking, past experiences, or unresolved issues that contribute to anger. Understanding these triggers and causes is crucial for developing effective strategies to manage anger. Individuals will learn a variety of anger management techniques and skills to express anger in healthy and constructive ways. I teach techniques such as deep breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, assertiveness training, communication skills, and problem-solving strategies.
