My philosophy is that most couples and family issues are primarily individual issues. I have developed a His-Hers-& Theirs approach that starts with Individual Therapy and joint relationship skills development, followed by identifying any remaining issues that need specialized approaches such as Transactional Analysis, Communication Enhancement or Parental Training. If there is an original basis for Love in the relationship, facilitating each spouse in their own movement toward individual wholeness and optimal functioning solves most marital issues, and enables them to enjoy a 1+1=3 relationship, often for the first time.

My goal in relationship counseling is to help you as a couple reach deeper levels of understanding of one another, and deeper levels of trust. These two processes often go hand in hand, and they are the two basic elements that make up a relationship. Couple's counseling can provide you with a setting to practice hearing one another out, so that productive solutions to your conflicts can be reached. You can then take the principles of communication that you learned and practiced in counseling and apply them to your relationship so that the two of you can solve issues and come to understand each other more effectively in the future.
