I have had extensive training as a psychologist. First I obtained a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and 2 years later returned for my Ph.D. As a psychologist I give great emphasis to the interaction between nature and nurture. I approach therapy from a narrative perspective by encouraging you to understand and tell your story but also encourage you to identify ways in which you are able to overcome your obstacles. I like to place emphasis on your own personal resources and take a holistic approach into healing.

KML is owned and operated by Dr. Kelsey Latimer. Dr. Kelsey has a team of excellent therapists and also has three psychologists on her team as well - they specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, test anxiety, insomnia, infertility, marriage/family and forensics. Psychologists receive several years of additional training before going off to furhter specialize in areas of postdoctoral training. This makes us uniquely positioned to be the leaders in research and practice in our fields of specialty!

There are masters degree therapists (LMHC, LMSW, LMFT) but few actual DOCTORS of psychology. I graduated magna cum laude from Rollins College with degrees in Philosophy and Psychology. I have a Master's Degree & a Doctorate Degree in Psychology. I have been invited to speak at Harvard Faculty Club multiple times. I am also a trauma certified. I think it is important to understand the different qualifications, so you can make an informed choice regarding your treatment and all available options. I take my job very seriously, and I wanted to make sure I had the highest qualifications to ensure the safety and wellbeing of my clients.
