Simply stated, the goal I pursue in family therapy is to help family members improve communications, to gain understanding, solve family problems, and handle special family situations. This will ultimately result in a better functioning home environment. The psychotherapy should reduce stress and conflict by improving the interactions between family members. As a family therapist, I seek to have all family members affected by the problem in the room; use different techniques to accomplish the goals.

Family therapy involves two or more members in the family unit. Everyone will get a chance to get their needs heard in session while learning ways to effectively interact with the other members. There are many reasons for families to come to family counseling: enhancing communication, parent / child conflict, divorce, new baby, blended families, problems in school, bullying, etc.

As Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, we provide a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for helping our clients to take steps toward their goals. Family therapy can be done with one or more people in the session. We can work with you individually to explore and gain insight into your family relationships, and we can also invite family members to join and be part of the process.

As a husband and father of 7 I know firsthand the blessings and challenges of family life. I enjoy working with families to understand the patterns that aren’t working, and illuminate hopeful alternatives. Improved communication, empathy, forgiveness, boundaries, family roles, and trauma are assessed in putting the puzzle together to find healing.

I work collaboratively with families to identify patterns of communication, address underlying conflicts, and foster mutual understanding. By blending modern techniques with proven approaches, I help families rebuild trust, strengthen connections, and develop healthier, more supportive relationships that benefit everyone involved.
