Recovery from an eating disorder can be a very difficult and frustrating process. I have a passion for helping clients to learn ways to live a life free of disordered eating, eating disorders and fixation on food and body. I use a combination of cognitive behavior therapy, mind/body practices, development of healthy rituals to replace eating disorder rituals, the use of group therapy when appropriate, working with the emotional quality of food, developing mindfulness techniques to gain greater control over disordered eating impulses. I offer individual therapy as well as group therapy.

I am expert in working with eating disorders with over 30 years experience, treating Binge Eating Disorder, Compulsive Eating Disorder, Emotional Eating, Anorexia, Bulimia, and Weight loss Difficulties. Besides being the Director at Arvon & Associates, I am currently the Director of Behaviorial Medicine and Wellness at the world-renowned Pritikin Longevity Center. It is imperative that the therapist involved in treatment specializes in this population since experience working with eating disorder is not only ethical in the treatment of this disorder but also leads to a better prognosis.
