Depression: Is it caused by your environment or is there something physically wrong with your brain? It can actually be both. Everyone experiences depression at some point in their lives. Whatever the cause of this depression your feeling, I will provide an environment of trust and empathy as we work together to develop your ability overcome this giant.

Children ages 3-ll suffer from depression. It manifests itself differently than in adults. Children may act out and/ or display angry behaviors. I use client-centered play therapy in a safe environment, enabling the child to express his/her emotions and thoughts through play. Play Therapy uses play, a child's natural medium of expression, to help them express their feelings more easily through toys instead of words.

Not many understand the unique pressures you face, and this can be frustrating, lonely, and isolating. Depression can color your world with a grayness that is hard to escape from. Depression can be very complex, involving a lot of heavy feelings and emotions. Let me help untangle the emotions and heal the pain. My job is to listen and find out gradually where the wound is - and then heal it. You don't have to live with the pain- let's work on it together.

I work with a depressed nervous system by working with the body. Often we struggle to sleep, eat, or accomplish relatively simple tasks. Our bodies are stuck with the brake on. When our body thinks it is futile, out mind follows quickly thereafter and we begin to tell ourselves how pointless things are and how worthless we are. I work with the whole body to re-regulate the body to enable you to get back to a whole integrated self.
