A tremendous value-add to having me as your psychotherapist is based on what I term my contextual approach. In short, I see every client as unique. Hence, my therapeutic modalities are tailored specifically to individual client needs. I used all five broad-based categories in my psychotherapy namely: psychodynamic therapies, behavior therapy, cognitive therapy, humanistic therapy and integrative or holistic therapy. We believe rigidity in therapy significantly limits client results and often misses the whole picture. There are different forms of psychotherapy. I use an eclectic approach utilizing several forms of therapy based on the needs of the client. I offer both talk therapy and therapy that does not require talking. Talk therapies involve identification of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors sustaining difficulties. I believe therapist and client form a team with the client leading the pace of the session.

As we learn your life history, we may find that some of the distress is rooted in early childhood trauma and attachment wounding. We will embrace and cherish all parts of yourself and learn about the challenging messages you may have grown up with that manifested into the distress you feel today. Distress can be a messenger, an alarm telling you that it is time to heal experiences from earlier in life. In our work together, we'll use EMDR, Emotion Focused Therapy and Expressive Arts to help you thrive.
