With a Master’s degree in counseling, I’m trained to treat a wide variety of common mental health issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, and relationship issues. However, my passion is helping stressed out men to overcome their barriers, bad-habits, and insecurities to experience healing and breakthrough. I do so using my training in counseling, my experience in ministry, and my expertise as a trained addiction coach. We approach the treatment of mental Illness by encouraging the exploration of unresolved and deeply rooted conflicts, often of an unconscious that may lead the person to behave in rigid and self-defeating ways, by questioning the veracity and effectiveness of distorted ways of thinking and perceiving the world and by empowering the person to modify behaviors that perpetuate psychopathology and emotional disturbance. We also include life-coaching techniques to help people set attainable goals based on personal values, abilities and interests.

My approach to counseling revolves around the idea that our dissatisfaction with life is rooted in the reality that the world we exist in is greatly removed from the world we want to live in. In therapy we will learn to adjust our expectations of our ideal world, but more importantly we will discover our ability to change the world we live in.
