Is a Christian Counseling perspective important to you in therapy? As an experienced Christian Counselor and ordained pastor, over the last 15 years I’ve been blessed to help hundreds of men find hope and healing using both psychological and Biblical principles. I believe that Christ is the ultimate source of hope and healing in this life. But I also believe that he’s given us the gift of rational minds, able to discern scientific and psychological truths built into the fabric of His amazing creation. My approach is grounded firmly in Scripture, but I don’t use Scripture as a weapon. You don’t need more guilt, but rather, a reminder of God’s promises and a compassionate guide to support you.

As a Christian Counselor, I respect the dignity of all life, the spirit, all people, and the value of marriage and relationships. I have received training in how to integrate and evaluate the Christian client's religious teachings, values, and faith and spiritual development into their mental health goals. I employ religious and spiritual assessments to understand Christian clients' use of both positive and negative religious coping and spiritual practices, which becomes important in identifying shame, blockages to faith and spiritual development, and understanding faith issues that may occur when faced with tragic life events.
