While I do not work exclusively with young children it has been my experience that often times the parents of children with special needs and/or behavioral issues benefit greatly from seeking therapy for themselves. MST is goal-oriented and focuses on helping the caregivers manage and nurture their challenging children more effectively. I work with children from age 4 and above using some play therapy and other age-appropriate interventions and coping skills to help with attention issues, social skills, anger management, defiance, discipline, and family issues, as well as anxiety or other mental health issues. Games, worksheets, and other age-appropriate tools are sometimes used to help learn skills and get the point across in a way that the child can understand.
