While not a speciality of the Center for Healthier Relationships, Individuals, & Sexualities, career counseling can be part of a larger framework of therapy. This can include exploring why one might want to change career paths, work up a corporate latter, or even why one might focus on contentment in their current role. This can be approached through a variety of modalities, which may either focus on the present issues or may review historical data to determine why one feels the need to make a career change.

Making career choices and changes can often be confusing and overwhelming. I help you develop your own guideline for how to make decisions regarding your career and life path. We explore questions about who you want to be in the world, where you wan tto go, and how your work fits or does not fit into that framework, and what your life's passions are now and have been.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in the corporate world as a human resources executive. This experience has given me a unique understanding of what employers are looking for, and how you can best prepare yourself for the job market. I can also help you identify your personal strengths and interests, if you're trying to decide what direction to go with your career, or if you're considering a career change.
