In my 30+ years of clinical practice, I have served as the emotional and verbal connection between family members. Modeling healthy dialogue and building emotional trust and intimacy, I facilitate family exercises. Having each member describe how their brain works, neurotypical or neurodivergent, and their emotional temperament, allows family members to know each other from the inside out. Each person describes what they need from the other to feel more understood, approved of, and loved. Pairing family members up to become partners in change to work collaboratively and collectively in building a healthy family culture for ongoing comfort and unity, has been a primary focus of my practice.

My therapy approach is well suited to help your family membes appreciate and respect one another tan themselves. I will guide you to exprience your own insights about the nature of thought and how your thinking contributes to your experience of life, moment by moment. I also provide a variety of resources for you so that you feel supported while you go through the process.

Not only is emotionally focused therapy helpful for couples, it is also helpful for other relationships as well, such as sibling relationships, and parent-child relationships. I currently see family relationships at a max of two family members present in sessions. I do not see families wanting to work on their relationships with children who are minors at this time.
