We all live with some type of anxiety, at ASD Center for Therapeutic Services we have many different clinicians with differing approaches to dealing with Anxiety. Counseling for anxiety and stress can help you bring relief to your distress, and bring greater awareness, understanding, and compassion for the different parts of you in these season of your life. I would love to help you through this journey by utilizing a blend of my experience in emotionally focused individual therapy and internal family systems to build a secure attachment within yourself that can support you through some of your most anxious moments.

I assist adults in understanding causes of their current anxiety and identify the triggers that lead them to an anxious state. Teaching you how to mitigate your anxiety through positive strategies, breathing techniques, and nutritional and physical exercises, has been a primary focus of my 30+ years of clinical practice. I assist children/adolescents in helping them to build the courage to approach what they would rather avoid, minimizing their fear and maximizing their ongoing capacity to take risks throughout their lives. Early intervention is key in minimizing the impact of anxiety throughout a lifetime.

Anxiety is something I have studied extensively for approximately a decade and a half. I have seen many people in that time who have come in with moderate to major anxiety, and left with mild to no (not beyond a normal healhty level) anxiety. This is an area I can truly consider myself a specialist and this belief is only enhanced furhter by the many positive comments I have received from current and former clients.

While most treatment approaches for anxiety and stress are effective on the surface, they don’t treat the real problem.
