As a certified International Life Coach, my approach to career counseling focuses on forward movement, and discovering together solutions to maximize one's strengths. I help my clients clarify values, which in turn, leads to uncovering their authentic selves. Knowing and owning who you are, are invaluable in discovering the best career choice and path. I utilize unique tools to unearth your own personal blueprint for your career and life. When we are young, we fall into our careers. When we mature, we choose them. I have worked extensively in career counseling; having provided training and education to college campuses for 10+ years. What I have often encountered is blocks in decision making patterns, which leads to struggles in people finding their niche or correct direction to take as it relates to their career choices. Each individual encompasses a different set of assets that I can help to untangle the impasses they may have to choose an effective career path. We do this together by researching each person's strengths that will allow them to make decisions based on these findings, as well as environmental influences, i.e., marketing approaches, resume writing, and what will success strategies.

Career Counseling is about change. Whether you are changing a career position, seeking a new field, or a student changing a major, the core of career counseling is preparation and the understanding of your goals and how they affect your life as a whole. In my practice, I do not use assessments or aptitude tests, as I believe the client is the best source of information. Together we will review your education, interests, work history and the reasons to make a change at this time in your life. Additionally, we will evaluate your level of risk taking, relationships and approaches to pursue a new career path. My style is comprehensive and tailored to you to help your reach your career goals.

I work with functional people – professionals, successful business people as well as mothers at home. I provide coaching to high achievers and anyone else who wishes to better their lives and achieve their desired goals. I specialize in helping people resolve issues related to money – be it overspending, not having it (desire for it) or having so much that it creates a unique set of problems.

Coaching sessions are specific to each individual and specific goals. It is standard for therapists to discuss the primary issues and concerns in your life during coaching sessions. It is common to schedule a series of weekly sessions, where each session lasts about fifty minutes. Coaching can be short-term, focusing on a specific issue, or can be longer-term, addressing more complex issues.

While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies.
