Work is an enormously important part of our lives. As is often said, we spend more hours of our lives at work than anywhere else. So making that work as good as it can be is vitally important to our health, sanity, and general well-being. Yet that, like so many things, can be easier said than done. Careers are integral to the identities of many people, while for others careers are simply means for attaining a happy life. Whether you’re developing your first career or looking to switch careers, I use a combination of assessment batteries and counseling to explore my clients’ goals, preferences, and aptitudes to identify their career path and develop a plan for achieving it.

I work with functional people – professionals, successful business people as well as mothers at home. I provide coaching to high achievers and anyone else who wishes to better their lives and achieve their desired goals. I specialize in helping people resolve issues related to money – be it overspending, not having it (desire for it) or having so much that it creates a unique set of problems.

I have worked extensively in career counseling; having provided training and education to college campuses for 10+ years. What I have often encountered is blocks in decision making patterns, which leads to struggles in people finding their niche or correct direction to take as it relates to their career choices. Each individual encompasses a different set of assets that I can help to untangle the impasses they may have to choose an effective career path. We do this together by researching each person's strengths that will allow them to make decisions based on these findings, as well as environmental influences, i.e., marketing approaches, resume writing, and what will success strategies.

Oftentimes, people seek out career counseling because they are finding that their current job is not making them happy. From a Christian perspective, finding the work or "mission" God has designed you for is often called "finding your purpose" which we believe is the key to happiness in your work. In my work with Christians I strive to help people to find this purpose in their lives.

While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies.
