My faith based approach to counselling offers help towards healing and change. I am warm and non-judgmental, able to help with issues surrounding divorce and separation, co-parenting, anxiety and depression and anger management. I use my own faith and belief to lead my efforts in the counselling process. Through the help of a trained, professional counselor you can feel supported in any life transition.

The Christian lens I provide is based on the principles of speaking the truth in love, laying aside all masks & pretence and being congruent. By providing empathy, comfort, education, conviction, encouragement through a gentle process forged by listening and building trust, I offer a safe environment for people to release emotional pain. I can apply biblical principles to spur change in people’s hearts. This process is facilitated through personal responsibility while harnessing the brain's ability to heal whether by combining insights from social sciences, strengthening neural connections with brain training via Neurofeedback or processing barriers due to emotionally charged memories with EMDR.

I counsel clients from a christian ministry. God is there to heal, and I support clients through god's words. We pray and seek his guidance, to overcome the stress that is overwhelming you, it may be anxiety, depression, disconnect of a relationship with a loved one, lack of self-care and/or other new stress that you need counselling support. Whether it is physical or mental pain, I use many therapeutic techniques, together with Christian beliefs to help clients heal.

I was raised and educated in the church, and wherever I go, this background follows me. Maybe you're in the same boat: and the boat doesn't always sail smoothly, but it keeps you from drowning, all the same. Approaching counselling from a Christian perspective is not about relying on God to solve your problems, but rather learning how to align oneself to live and work within his created world and intentions for our happiness. Free will is an essential gift that allows us to explore this creation and find meaning and happiness that has been inspired by God. Developing a trust in God to guide and direct us in this task is an essential process in establishing faith that God will keep us safe whiling using our freewill and experience to look both ways before we cross the street.

Is anyone tired of traditional "Christian" Counseling? I know I came to that place in my life growing up, when I didn't just want to hear that God could heal all of my messes (even though I knew He could - if it is His will), I wanted to know that someone (hear on earth) had my best interests at hand too! However, there is still evil around us, and we certainly don't just want to put our hearts in minds into the hands of just anyone. I am a Christian counsellor born, raised and practicing in the Christian faith. The laws of Love taught in the Bible are as relevant today as they were when the Bible was written. Jesus left us with His example and a set of principles, to guide us through the trials that we face in our current lives. Although the form and conditions of our lives now have changed, this guidance helps us to navigate through the challenges of the current day.
