I come from a Christian background and can incorporate Christian values and ideas into my work. It is important that clients be provided with as many coping skills as possible to help them overcome adversity. Helping clients to connect to a religious group and philosophy enables them to expand their positive social network, further develop important coping skills, and to make meaning of difficult experiences.

I am a Christian person, and in my work with fellow Christians I strive to integrate the Gospel and the teachings of Jesus as a foundation from which our work together is built. I pray with - and for - my clients who are Christian, and I offer the work we do together in prayer to God the Father. As believers in Christ we cannot disconnect parts of our lives from our faith in Christ, and so the counselling process must integrate this common language and understanding of our Savior.
