Having a Bachelor of Theology, I am equipped more than the average Christian therapist to counsel from a biblical and Christian standpoint. When counselling, a therapist comes with their whole self as a tool, and in this way I am grounded and committed to biblical morals in the session. During the session there may not be many references to scripture while we unpack someone's history or relationship, but the direction and inclinations along with a general bias are in agreement with Christian belief.

I am a Christian. My faith informs my practice, and I endeavor to practice what I believe to be in alignment with a Biblical worldview and values. I am very open to exploring with clients how their Christian faith is being impacted by their experiences, whether it is an area of struggle or an area of strength, and how they may draw on their faith as a resource to them in their challenges.

Jennifer is a Christian, that completed her Masters degree in Counselling at Providence Theological Seminary. She understands why some Christians would prefer to work with a therapist that is in line with their own spiritual beliefs, as worldview does inform one's practice and the direction therapy takes. Because Jennifer completed her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Victoria, with Distinction, she has both a high level of psychological knowledge along with theological understanding. She was also mentored for 18 months post Masters by one of the world's leading Christian psychologists, Dr. David Benner.
