Finding a career that works for you is more than a job, it is about finding what lights you up, what motivates you, what you feel confident in, where you feel most free to be yourself. Often we feel stuck, creatively blocked or trapped and cannot see a way out or a way to transition or we might struggle with not feeling good enough or confusion. In our career exploration, we may use techniques such as free association, dream analysis, and transference to help you uncover underlying motivations, fears, and desires related to your career. By examining patterns of behaviour, recurring themes, and emotional reactions in the counselling sessions, you can gain insight into why you are drawn to specific professions, struggle with certain job-related challenges, or feel unfulfilled in your current work.

A career is more than just a way to pay the bills. Every person spends most of their life in their careers and the career satisfaction/non-satisfaction spills over to the person’s personal life, too. However, there are many variables that can lead to career dissatisfaction. It can be the environment, interpersonal relationships, the skills and talents required for the job, and ultimately the person’s view of the job. A successful career counselling helps the client to take a closer look at these variables and to tackle the issues that lead to an unhealthy career life. Everyone has gifts they were born with. Through various therapeutic modalities including expressive art therapy and mindfulness, I help guide individuals through an inward self exploration of these gifts.
