Kerley believes in love and compassion. She is an ordained missionary since 1994, and has ministered to the social, spiritual and emotional needs of families and individuals in Brazil, Africa and the USA for the past 22 years.
She believes that every person has the power and resources to connect with each other if only given a chance and uses her multicultural experiences to make people from diverse backgrounds and languages comfortable around her. Rooted in deep spirituality, she incorporates the scientific findings of diverse theories of psychotherapy and counseling during the therapeutic process to asses and address the special needs of each client. She also believes that no science will ever replace the wonder of human connection and the miracle of community when in special moments former strangers suddenly share each other's burdens, making life much easier to live.
Kerley has a bachelor’s degree in Theology and Anthropology (1990, Novas Tribos , Brazil) and a master of arts in Counseling (2008, Capital Bible Seminary). She is an Imago trained therapist and currently is pursuing her professional license in counseling. She serves her community training young people and is a volunteer for a local sexual abuse hot line.
She holds a space of hope and transformation for her clients as she facilitates connection which she practices in her relationship with her husband and children.
