Cindy provides individual and couples therapy
to aid in healing and personal growth.
She believes in empowering clients to cultivate greater
self-knowledge and awareness of their own internal resources, including
spiritual resources. In
her practice with couples, she emphasizes creating safety and deepening their
connection through empathic listening. She
is currently completing her certification as a Certified Imago Relationship
TherapistTM to enhance this work.
Cindy is a graduate student in Pastoral
Counseling at Marymount University. She holds an M.A. in Education
and Human Development from The George Washington University.
Cindy has been with PC & CC for one year,
during which time she completed her clinical internship and trained extensively
in Imago Relationship Therapy. Prior
to joining PC&CC, Cindy interned as a psychotherapist at a shelter and
transitional housing facility in Washington, DC, where she counseled clients
facing challenges including post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual abuse,
depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and substance abuse recovery. Cindy is trained in crisis response and
is a volunteer listener for a local suicide and crisis
hotline.
Cindy is a professional member of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association
and has a special interest in assisting couples facing family
building challenges.
